I received Christ just after college through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU) and have had a heart for evangelism and discipleship ever since. I have enjoyed ministering with Athletes in Action, Young Life and other para church organizations.
I enjoy life with my wife Barbara, time with family & friends, working out, long walks, reading the Bible and related books as well as history, current events, and an occasional novel. The more we read the Bible the more we find it provides God’s perspective on everything else. I attended Talbot Seminary, and I'm a graduate of the Institute of Biblical Studies. In addition, I have an MA in Education from Cal Poly Pomona.
Jesus’ statement in John 10:10 that, “I came that they might have life and have it abundantly [that it would be full and meaningful]” was the promise that motivated me to give my life to Him. Christ Church Carpinteria is another amazing example of this promise fulfilled.
